Trips to California

My favorite time of the year is the time when I get to start planning my vacation! For the past couple
years one of my friends and I have done a scuba diving trip at a new location each year. Our first scuba
vacation was at Catalina Island, CA. We were housemates at the time and had been friends for years. I
was getting ready to move out of state and we wanted to come up with an excuse to meet up each year.
Browsing the internet, I found a dive package that included hotel, scuba gear, and air refills on Catalina.
It was for New Years day through the 5th of January and turned out to be one of the most fun vacations
I have had. Since then we have dove places ranging from the Hawaiian Islands to dry suite diving in
Monterey California.

Since we both live in different states it has always been important to find the best travel deals. I like
to think that since starting our annual scuba dive tradition that we have both became pro’s in finding
the best airfare, hotel and rental car deals online. It is almost an art to be able to find the best deals on
the internet and for us it is part of the excitement leading up to the trip. We start planning a month or
two before the vacation and constantly email each other back and forth with different online deals and
specials that we find for hotels. Over the years there has been one site that stands out from the rest and
seems to be where we end up booking through year after year. As well as getting the best prices online
have a newsletter that alerts you of good deals to come. We have been using promo codes for OneTravel more
than any of the other travel booking sites because of this great service and savings. It is funny because
sometimes we will both find the same deal at OneTravel and send it to each other almost at the same
time. We have tried many of the other travel sites but none seem to come close in terms of savings on
hotels, rental cars, and flights.
